We’re proud to recognize Hannah Patterson, CFP®, EA, Financial Advisor on the Deering Wealth Team, for her ongoing dedication to redefining excellence and continuously elevating the client experience in financial planning. Most recently, Hannah earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) designation—an incredible achievement that reflects her personal commitment to expanding her expertise for the benefit of our clients.
Hannah’s journey with our team began six years ago when she joined in a client support role. Through her hard work, curiosity, and determination, she quickly advanced to Planning Associate, then achieved her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, and now serves as one of our trusted team financial advisors. These milestones speak volumes about Hannah’s character and her desire to push the boundaries of what it means to serve clients well.
What Do CFP® and EA Mean for Our Clients?
The CFP® certification is widely recognized as the gold standard in financial planning. CFP® professionals must meet rigorous education, examination, and experience requirements—and, importantly, they must uphold a fiduciary duty to always act in their clients’ best interests when providing financial advice. Hannah’s CFP® designation ensures that clients receive advice that is not only extensive and well-informed but also guided by the highest ethical standards of care, diligence, and loyalty. Her expertise spans key areas like retirement planning, investments, tax strategies, insurance, and estate planning, helping clients navigate every stage of their financial journey with confidence.
The EA designation is awarded by the IRS and represents the highest credential for tax expertise. Enrolled Agents are authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS and must demonstrate extensive knowledge of tax law. Hannah pursued this certification on her own initiative, highlighting her proactive nature and deep care for helping clients navigate the complexities of financial and tax planning.
As a Financial Advisor, Hannah plays a vital role in overseeing the development of financial plans, onboarding new client families, and serving as a go-to resource for counseling clients. She’s a dedicated partner to our clients and a key member of our team, always going above and beyond to ensure each client feels supported and confident in their financial journey.
If you are a client with questions or someone seeking a new financial planning team, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Hannah. We are proud to have her as an integral member of our team and our clients’ financial journeys.
