Hannah Patterson Obtains CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Designation

Southwestern Investment Group’s Hannah Patterson has recently obtained her designation from the CFP® Board as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Patterson’s goal in completing this process was to further her depth of knowledge and expertise regarding effective and comprehensive financial planning. Her completion of this certification illustrates her ongoing commitment to understanding and applying complex financial planning concepts, while adhering to the highest of ethical standards.

As a member of the Deering Wealth Team at Southwestern Investment Group, Patterson has worked as a financial planning professional, focused on helping business owners and individuals with retirement planning, tax planning, and investment management.

“Hannah has been one of the greatest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with and I’m beyond excited to witness her achieve this incredible milestone,” said Mark Deering, CFP®, Senior Executive Vice President and National Sales Director at Southwestern Investment Group and lead financial advisor on the Deering Wealth Team. “It has truly been a pleasure to watch someone who entered the industry as an administrative professional without any licenses not only pass her series 7 and series 66 securities industry essential exams, but also be promoted to and excel in the Paraplanner role, and now earn her CFP® designation. Our team couldn’t be prouder of Hannah.”

Patterson will continue to serve clients of the Deering Wealth Team in many of the same ways she has been, including financial plan development, plan implementation, and money movement. Additionally, her role in advising clients will expand into regular client meetings, phone calls, and providing time-sensitive planning for the families of the Deering Wealth Team.

“Helping our clients design plans to achieve their financial goals so they can enjoy personal and financial freedom is my top priority,” Patterson said. “I’m very excited for the door of opportunity that has opened not only for me, but also for my team and our clients, as earning the honorable CFP® designation enables me to serve them in an even greater capacity going forward.”

He serves as Chairman of the Board of Men of Valor, a prison ministry and mentoring program. Jeff also serves on the board of Send Musicians to Prison, which shares hope, healing and restoration with the imprisoned through musicians & artists. Jeff actively supports other initiatives in the community by sitting on the board of The Signatry of Middle Tennessee and the Halftime Institute of Nashville. 

Witnessing his four children, Gracyn, Hunter, Tanner, and Logan, excel on the field is almost just as rewarding, if not more, than celebrating the victories of seeing his clients overcome obstacles and build wealth.
