West Tennessee native Mary Jane Risch relocated to Middle Tennessee after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Development. Before joining SageSpring, Mary Jane worked in the insurance and financial industry for over four years.

In her current role, Mary Jane is responsible for opening accounts and handling account maintenance processes. She also handles the Swatzell Wealth Team’s schedule and assists with transfers and money movement.

Mary Jane found her way to SageSpring after her move, and she felt drawn to the positive culture, kindness, and energy. She contributes to that positive culture by providing exceptional, timely, and efficient service to both clients and her team.

Beyond the office, Mary Jane enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, as well as her three children: Ally, Carter, and Reid, and her fur baby Leo.

Chelsey Wahlman was born a Navy brat and spent the majority of her childhood travelling the world. After living in Florida, Italy, Virginia, and Germany, her family was stationed in Tennessee and they finally decided to make Tennessee their permanent home.

Chelsey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Memphis and then decided to pursue a career in finance and earned her Series 7 and 66 licenses. She has over 9 years of financial industry experience and possesses a vast range of financial expertise, from the client support of individual portfolios to the management of a large company’s stock option plan.

In her current role with the Swatzell Wealth Team, Chelsey is instrumental in helping to meet client needs and objectives through executing trades, maintaining client portfolios, and handling all client service needs with a positive and proactive approach.

Outside of the office, Chelsey can be found spending time with her husband, Ben, and their two dogs, Finley and Denver. She enjoys running, hiking, and continues to travel as much as possible.

Hannah Colbert was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and moved to Tennessee in 2012. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Business. While pursuing her degree, she also began working in the insurance industry. She quickly found a passion for helping people through working closely with clients and their families. She joined SageSpring in 2019 as a part of our Client Services team.

As a client services associate, Hannah provides administrative support to our advisors and clients. She maintains and updates client account information, coordinates our events, and manages communications.

When she’s not working, you can find Hannah spending time with her cat Opie and dog Ziggy or trying out the newest restaurant in Columbia.

Dustin Schletzer holds a B.A. in music education from Middle Tennessee State University with a concentration in percussion. After several years as a music educator and performing percussionist, Dustin decided to follow a different passion, as he became licensed in Series 7 and 66, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and life and health insurance while pursuing a career in financial services.

In his current role on the Swatzell Wealth Team, Dustin assists financial advisors and provides quality services to clients. He processes trades, schedules and preps meetings, ensures files are up to date, and more.

SageSpring Wealth Partners came highly recommended to Dustin through family members and current clients of the organization. After meeting with several of the group advisors, Dustin immediately felt welcomed and wanted to join the team.

Among the things Dustin loves most about SageSpring are the positive work environment and working alongside experienced professionals who are willing to help in any capacity.

Outside of work, Dustin enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling, and grilling out with his family and friends.

For the last thirteen years, Lucas has been refining his craft as a financial advisor. After graduating from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, he then went on to pursue his Master’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Alabama. Wanting to gain as much experience as possible, Lucas interned with Edward Jones in Nashville which led him to dive even deeper into the field by joining VALIC Financial Advisors in Brentwood with a special focus on retirement planning. All the while, Lucas continued his professional education by earning his Series 7, Series 66, Life, Health, and Insurance licenses and participating in the Executive Education Program for Financial Planning at Belmont University. With his passion for financial planning, Lucas joined SageSpring in 2014 as a Financial Advisor and also is an Investment Management Consultant through Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting*.

Today, Lucas utilizes his vast knowledge and experience to help guide his clients through the complexities of retirement planning, investing, tax strategies, and other financial goals. To Lucas, one of the most fulfilling aspects of his career is being an active participant in his clients’ lives- working closely to identify their goals, implementing a plan of action, and celebrating with them as they strive to achieve life’s many milestones.

Outside of the office, Lucas can be found spending time with his wife, Kayla, and their three children. He is an avid mountain biker and exercise enthusiast and loves being outdoors. This is where he feels most at home as he was raised on a tobacco farm in rural Christian County, Kentucky.

Laurie Snively, CFP® brings a unique perspective to financial planning. She has been lucky enough to work in several industries, adding to the overall experience she brings to the team. She has worked as an entrepreneur and owned her own marketing firm. She also spent several years working as a wholesaler, where she worked with advisors on everything from crafting portfolios to behavioral education, as well as overall best practices for advisors focused on providing great service to their clients.

Based on her varied experience, Laurie wanted to prioritize joining a practice that takes client relationships and planning to the next level. Upon learning about SageSpring’s commitment to its clients financial planning, she knew immediately this was the organization she wanted to call home.

Laurie is passionate about helping people feel they can retire with confidence. Her clients inspire her every day as she helps them reach new goals they have long been working towards. As a Financial Advisor with SageSpring, Laurie currently holds Series 7, Series 66, and Health and Life insurance licenses. Outside of work, Laurie loves spending time with her family, all of whom live here in Tennessee. She also loves going for long walks with her rescue dog, Lucy.
