Will Scroggins has been a financial planner for over eleven years and has served with SageSpring Wealth Partners since 2015. Soon after joining SageSpring, he was asked to spearhead the Birmingham branch in 2016, with goals to provide comprehensive holistic financial planning to those living in the greater Birmingham area. Suzan is excited to join the Will Scroggins Wealth Team! Bringing over 30 years of financial experience from banks, CPAs and financial firms, Suzan brings SageSpring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for serving clients. Since starting in April 2024, Suzan has hit the ground running, showcasing her dedication to providing exceptional service.

Originally from the sunshine state of Florida, Suzan now calls Alabama her home. When she’s not assisting clients or collaborating with our team, you can find Suzan enjoying quality time with her husband, Bob, and their 2 dachshunds, Sammy James and Jacob, along with her cat Meow Meow. Together, Suzan and Bob enjoy kayaking, exploring the outdoors, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Lightning. Suzan and Bob are active members of Mountaintop Church in Birmingham, AL.

Family holds a special place in Suzan’s heart, with her daughter Heather thriving as a Director at an IT firm in Tampa, FL, and her son Ryan bravely serving as a Sergeant in the Army, stationed in South Korea.

Suzan is beyond excited to embark on this new chapter with SageSpring, where she looks forward to not only serving you, our valued clients, but also contributing her expertise to the Will Scroggins Wealth Team.

Ramann is thrilled to join the Will Scroggins Wealth Team. Starting his career in the corporate consulting space, Ramann developed an aspiration to serve clients in the area of their personal finances. This led to Ramann joining SageSpring in January 2024 where he knew he could build lifelong relationships with clients.

A proud graduate of Texas Christian University, Ramann holds a degree in Finance and Managing People and Organizations. During his time at TCU, he was actively involved in the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and his church community, honing his skills in leadership and teamwork.

Originally hailing from Huntsville, Alabama, Ramann is thrilled to be back in his home state, serving clients and building meaningful relationships within his community.

When he’s not crunching numbers or strategizing financial plans, you’ll find Ramann soaking up quality time with his wife, Daphne, and their cherished circle of family and friends. An avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast, Ramann loves nothing more than hitting the links or embarking on outdoor adventures, whether it’s hunting in the great outdoors or simply enjoying nature’s beauty.

Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Riley Nelsen found himself in Birmingham, Alabama, when he attended Samford University, majoring in finance. Knowing he wanted to become a financial planner, Riley came to SageSpring Wealth Partners for a college internship. He knew instantly upon starting his internship that this was the company where he wanted to spend the rest of his career.

Riley specializes in creating a personal planning experience for each client, with an emphasis on comprehensive financial planning, tax and estate planning, and excellent customer service. He is first and foremost committed to putting his clients first and serving them diligently.

When he’s not working with clients, Riley can be found spending his time with his wife, Gigi Nelsen, and their friends. He also enjoys spending time outdoors from fishing to playing golf.

A Tuscaloosa native, Nathan graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Finance in 2007. After graduating, Nathan worked in property management for three years while also working as the worship director for a local church, New Beginning Family Worship Center. In 2011, Nathan transitioned into full time real estate sales. He established himself as one of Tuscaloosa’s top young Realtors when he was awarded the Tuscaloosa Association of the Realtors “Rookie of the Year” in 2011. In his first-year full time in the business, Nathan sold 33 units, and nearly 3.5 million dollars in real estate closed volume.

In October 2015, Nathan partnered with a group of influential local Tuscaloosa Realtors to launch a Keller Williams Realty franchise in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Nathan stepped away from his real estate sales business and took on the role of Team Leader/CEO for the new Keller Williams franchise. Responsible for the company’s growth, productivity, and profitability, Nathan helped grow the company from 40 to 100 real estate agents in less than three years. Keller Williams Tuscaloosa quickly became number one real estate company in the Tuscaloosa area in closed transactions, closed volume, and agent count, gaining 33% of market in 2021. 

During his time at Keller Williams, Nathan enjoyed coaching and consulting real estate agents in areas of their businesses, finances, and wealth building. As CEO, Nathan’s passion for investing in the growth of others helped drive the company to enormous success. In 2020, Keller Williams Tuscaloosa was ranked by Real Trends as the #470 real estate office in the nation in closed units out of over 100,000 real estate offices nationwide. Keller Williams Tuscaloosa was also ranked by Swanepoel Mega 1000 as the #6 real estate brokerage office in the State of Alabama in closed units in 2019.

With his finance background, one of Nathan’s passions has always been to help support and educate people in the areas of personal finances and wealth management. In 2022, Nathan joined forces with the Will Scroggins Wealth Team and SageSpring Wealth Partners as a financial advisor. Nathan is excited to continue to use his business, consulting, and leadership experience to help his clients thrive in the area of their personal finances.

In 2014, Nathan received one of the greatest gifts of his life when he married Susan Dendy. Nathan enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan, and his three daughters, Livi Joy, Alley, and Louise. His hobbies include reading, golf, running, water skiing, snowboarding, and playing the piano. Nathan has completed two marathons and has a passion for travel and adventure. Nathan and his family are active members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Will has always had a deep desire to help people. Experiencing firsthand how difficult, yet rewarding, it is to help clients build a financial foundation from the ground up, Will is passionate about assisting people who are ready to take control of their financial plan. He understands where they are coming from and has the tools and expertise to help them. Will works with people from all walks of life, and has the ability to help meet his clients exactly where they are in creating a financial plan that is tailored to their personal situation and comfort.

As the son of a pastor and sibling to four, Will learned from a young age the value of listening. He sits with his clients and listens to their needs and dreams for the future. He works with them to create a plan that strives to accomplish their goals while maintaining their current needs. As evidence of his commitment to excellence, Will fulfilled the certification and renewal requirements to hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Will has deep roots in both the Homewood/Birmingham area and in finance. Will graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a major in Finance. He then worked several years for Cadence Bank here in Birmingham, before joining SageSpring Wealth Partners and becoming a Senior Executive Vice President. Not only has Will’s business grown, but so has his family. Will married Caroline Scroggins in 2019 and has since welcomed two children, Lucy and Frank, into the world.

He believes in truly getting to know clients, understanding their aspirations and priorities, and navigating their financial plans with a tailored, comprehensive approach. Our team members have often been caught taking notes on Jeff’s effortless relationship skills from a distance, and we admire them for striving to learn from one of the best. 

Jeff’s financial expertise and wisdom are the perfect match to his innate people skills. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Men of Valor, a prison ministry and mentoring program. Jeff also serves on the board of Send Musicians to Prison, which shares hope, healing and restoration with the imprisoned through musicians & artists. Jeff actively supports other initiatives in the community by sitting on the board of The Signatry of Middle Tennessee and the Halftime Institute of Nashville. 

Witnessing his four children, Gracyn, Hunter, Tanner, and Logan, excel on the field is almost just as rewarding, if not more, than celebrating the victories of seeing his clients overcome obstacles and build wealth.
